I don't have IDP, just booked my appointment and went to dlt 2 times, got both car and motorbike for approx 200 baht

so you paid 5000 for him to basically taxi you to the dlt office. For 5000 I'd want the license delivered to me without having to do anything at all, residency certificate included

believe it or not, 2 land entry per calendar year are almost guaranteed

it will be the 2nd entry of the year without visa so yeah it's almost guaranteed. However might be a better play to try an air entry first, then the tourist visa and let the guaranteed land entry as last resource
