If the car is under financing, u need finance company approval as well. Its a pain, cross the border and rent another car

A pain in the ass. A bad idea. Maybe not even possible. I bring my truck over, but I own it and it took a long while to do it the first time. Better idea would be to cross over without a vehicle, and rent one on the other side.

that’s what I did for Laos and Cambodia. Pain in the a55 to take mine over. Just parked up on the border and hired a car on the other side.Daniele ***********
