TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the procedures and requirements for applying for a 60-day family visit extension at Chonburi immigration. Users advise starting with a 30-day extension, meeting the necessary documentation requirements, and ensuring that the applicant's Thai spouse is present during the application process. There's also mention of other extension options and the potential for obtaining a NON-O visa. The community stresses the importance of planning ahead and outlining the steps clearly.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.

No disrespect toward the O/P (

) but it seems they're grasping at straws to get any extension with their stamp running out today.

They have 3 extensions available (IF they can meet the requirements)

-the regular 30 day extension

-the 60 day visit thai family extension (based on marriage)

-the 60 day covid extension

Good luck in your endeavor.

I'd say take the regular 30 day extension, use that 30 days to get the correct documentation together to apply for the 60 day visit thai family extension after that

Then you will have time to arrange your next steps...

...Including the 60 day Family visit extension.

AND /Or

...go to Savannakhet Thai Embassy in Laos and obtain the Non O multi-entry One year Visa as Married to Thai... with NO PROOF of 400,000 Thai baht deposit in a Thai bank account in your name only.

That will give you one year of stay in Thailand...but will require you to bounce out EACH 90 days and re-enter for added 90 days throughout the year.

FIRST...Use the 30 Day extension

Then the COVID extension

Then the 60 day Family visit extension

Then go to Savannakhet to get the one year Non O multi-entry Visa as Married to Thai.

As your last date of stay in Thailand is tomorrow...

AND you have not yet obtained the 30 day extension of stay you are entitled to...

Go to Jomtien immigration office tomorrow and apply for the 30 day extension.
