I don't think so. When you have the 800k ti get your visa they check bank statements and it has ti show it coming from overseas. Transferwise doesn't always show it as coming from overseas either unless you say the reason is for extended living allowances........

you need to show that money coming from outside of Thailand if its for his Visa and not sure if hand carry will show that.

You have been spoiled by the super friendly Consulate in Hull England which I guarantee is not the normal level of service but way beyond it. I have to agree with alot of folk on here though saying plan ahead and take all documents and extra photo copies every time. I keep a pack with photos, photocopies of passports, forms etc. so I have them with me just in case. Thailand is easier to enter/remain than the UK ir USA and nothing comes close to what it used to be like getting a Visa for Egypt or Angola fir example

Bangkok Bank. Just go along with a resident certificate and your passport.

Well my Transfer from the UK came through early so all good but a lesson for me to keep a bigger buffer or as suggested a separate account for the 800k

one final question. Does the 3 month period start from when the extension was issued or from when the extention starts?
