Thanks Todd. In Chiang Mai they never asked me to come back with my bank book after 3 months. I'll hold back my rental payment for a day and make sure I transfer more money earlier in future. I was being greedy with the exchange rate😄
I don't think a retirement Visa even if you had a valid one would allow you into Thailand for the foreseeable future. LOook at your countries website is best advice.
I've recently changed from tourist to Non-O and then gir a 12 month extension based on over 50 and was told I needed at least 30 days left on a current visa (not amnesty) so if you can get a 30 day extension you should be okay but have everything ready and make sure your Thai Bank shows the money coming from outside of Thailand. When you get your Non-O you actually only get a stamp saying under consideration and it can be 2 weeks before they call you back and know if its approved or not...good luck.
I did both of mine all by myself too. Im just curious because they didnt want a lot of the info for the extention that they did for the actualy Non-O. Ive got a year to see if anything changes anyway. 👍🍻
I have a question about renewal for the future as I just got a 12 month extention on my Non-O last week also at Chiang Mai. My Non-O Visa was for 3 months and ended Aug 2nd 2020 but I got a 12 month extention based on being over 50 taking it to 2nd August 2021. Can I renew this Non-O in August 2021 or do i apply for a new Non-O in 2021?? Im not sure if its just terminology or 2 separate things. Many thanks in advance.
Look on your home countries Government website for facts and Facebook for rumours😉. If you have a Thai Visa question Thai Visa advice is a very helpful group but not sure if similar one for Cambodia.
