He did, they told him to cancel OA at immigration. My question is after canceling the OA, how long does he have to leave Thailand? I mean even a day or two, or does he have to leave that same day?
The import duty wasn’t high enough to be a dealbreaker, for us. And we brought in some large items like furniture. (Family heirlooms we wouldn’t part with. It was cheaper than buying all new furniture.)
I always tell my bank Thai language is fine - the immigration folks all read Thai. It’s me who can’t 😅. I’m in Bangkok, haven’t had any problems with it.
Take a hotel room or a serviced apartment for a few weeks. They will report your stay to immigration. Airbnb owners may be unlikely/unwilling to report who is staying at their property.
Yes. I did it about 2 months late once because we didn’t have the blue book to register our apartment online. I did it when that was straightened out, & no questions when I did my next 90 day report as staying at that address. The date signed in didn’t seem to be a problem
I believe you transfer the money to your Thai bank account CLEARLY marked for purchase of condo. But you pay the seller from your Thai account. At least that’s how it was when we bought.
