Does anyone have any experience in transporting stuff to Thailand from Europe? I’m about to move to Thailand for workation (DTV visa), I’m a music producer and sound engineer so obviously I’ll need to bring some gear with me to do my remote work.

How much? Well, here’s the thing: I could technically take the bare minimum that will fit into let’s say 3 flyable cases. That plus personal items would make me fly with at least 7-8 pieces of luggage, and give me only basic stuff. To be comfortable I’d need to bring gear in volume closer to a pallet or preferably two.

Is there any point in trying to organize something like a pallet freight or is it simply not worth it / not possible / not economically viable? Do you actually know someone who could help?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello, looking to finally bring my golf clubs to Pattaya. I have a 2 bag allowance unusually, so I thought I’d bring my clubs that are rotting away in a garage in the UK. They are very old and battered, will I need to declare to customs and pay duty? Thanks

BUT, my wife has just asked how will the wood (that it is made from) react in a hot humid climate

Yes I appreciate we can use a dehumidifier/ possibly the settings from an Air Con unit to lower the humidity but does anyone have any idea or experience how such a wooden feature would react under such circumstances especially if it was left for 3 months at a time without any humidity control

I have electric appliances both ”big” and small in China. Sending stuff via post to Thailand. Can you get the end of electrical cords switched to work in Thailand? Is it Worth it? How cheap is this? Just needing to know what is worth it to send from one country to another.

Question about Thailand customs/parcel clearance - In May I sent two small parcels (<2kg) via UK Royal Mail from London to Thailand arrived in 6 days no problems at all. Last week I sent a larger parcel (10kg) via TNT and paid extra because they advised 3-5 day delivery time. Not only has the parcel been delayed on route (Dubai and Singapore) but is now being held by FedEx in Bangkok and I’m being told I need to pay for a private clearance agent for them to release the parcel. Does anyone have experience of this happening???
