I’m looking for advice on Thailand visa options in a difficult personal situation.

I’m currently in Thailand on a spouse-based visa, but due to a serious relationship breakdown (infidelity and separation), my wife has asked for space and limited communication.

I cannot remain legally dependent on another person, so I need to transition to an independent visa as soon as possible.

I have time until 31 July 2026, sufficient funds, and I work remotely / run my own business.

Could anyone advise on:

• Viable visa options in this situation

• Whether conversion is possible without leaving Thailand

• Recommended visa agents or lawyers

Hi everyone! I am posting anonymously as my work situation is uncertain and I do not want to share it with colleagues and others who know me.

We are a family of 3 and I am currently on work visa while my partner and child are on dependent visa. We are looking at plan B options as we want to remain in Thailand for another year at the bare minimum. So, I am reaching out to you:

1) if anyone tried the Long-Term Resident Visa (as highly skilled professional) and could share your experience?

2) which visa options you tried in a similar situation.

Any advice would help at this point
