TM30 question - as property owner
Hi all. I’m on a 1-year retirement extension as of Dec. 26, 2022. Since then, we bought a condo in BKK & moved in. I need to fill out the TM30 - but we live there, we are the tenants.
3 questions:
The TM30 instructions require a copy of passport & house registration “certified as a true copy.” What does this mean? Do I find a notary & have them certify a copy of my documents? Or can certification be done at immigration in BKK?
When do I notify immigration of new address - now, or at my 90-day check-in? (March 2023.)
Registering new address online - our previous rental landlord had to update something online that showed us as the tenants. How do I create that record online now that I am the owner? (There is no mention of this in TM30 instructions.)
Thanks for any advice!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user on a retirement visa in Thailand seeks guidance on completing the TM30 form, particularly as a property owner. They inquire about the certification of documents, the timing of notifying immigration regarding their new address, and the process for registering their ownership online. Responses from other users provide useful resources, suggest using photocopies instead of notarized documents, emphasize the importance of registering within 24 hours of moving in, and share personal experiences regarding the online registration system.
