it will be mainly those abusing visa exempts as a way to live there who will have some difficulties

I can't speak for others but I live and work in Vietnam but my kids are in Bangkok. It's a one hour flight so I'm usually in Thailand 9-10 times a year for anywhere between 2-7 nights per visit.

they can check that now if they really wanted to but for the vast majority of countries the tax and immigration systems aren't linked to the extent where everyone gets flagged just because they've spent x days or more in the country. Absolutely needless scaremongering.

and the ones who are genuine tourists who come multiple times a year won't have any issues. It's the ones living there whilst on visa exempt entries who will be impacted.

Last time I checked both Cambodia and Laos separated Thailand and Vietnam.

As to how long can you do this for...how long is a piece of string? They've clamped down on it a lot lately so most likely you won't get any more than 6 months out of it.

so it's a change which hasn't happened is what you're saying yet you say people are going to Vietnam over something which hasn't happened?? Bangkok Bank changed their policy, an internal bank policy and I'm guessing that's another reason why people are going to Vietnam too? Keep it up, 🤡
