TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on the possibility of re-entering Thailand with a work permit during the ongoing restrictions. It emphasizes that re-entry is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, highlighting that holding a work permit or a letter from an employer does not guarantee entry. Comments suggest that while some Thai citizens will return first, foreign work permit holders may follow later, potentially around August, depending on flight availability and quarantine rules.

Oh it's coming, just a matter of time. Gonna be making their money back on these quarantines.

But there is no international flight before July so how is it possible?

At a guess, if approval is granted you *may* be able to get on a repat flight. Or you wait until 1 July and if planes are flying then you can get onto one.

let the 40.000 Thais come back and go through quarantine and soon the missing teachers wp and soon wp holders - then after daddies and husbands may follow - guess August 😉 - make sure to come longer than 14 days - as that is the time you need to quarantine first

read the notice it is a case by case basis, and just having a work permit or a letter from a company stating you work here isn't an auto pass to get in :P

and worth noting that *any* immigration action is ultimately at the discretion of the officer. which basically means they can set the bar as high (or low) as they like if you're a pain in the ass...

Yes I saw that. Just hoping things will have changed by the time I have to ship my wife out of Thailand to convert her dependent (or non-O dependent extension of stay - I don't have her passport to hand) to non-B based on employment.
