What are the requirements and considerations for applying for a 60-day tourist visa to Thailand?
Just applied for a 60 day tourist visa last night , requirements where 3 months bank statement, round trip airline ticket, and condo or hotel accommodation, to my surprise already approved. Super easy and quick. I myself had been in thailand 150+ days in 2025, but did the right thing and was granted access thanks to everyone in the group.

still expect a bit of a grilling from the immigration officer especially as I did on my last entry. I roughly needed one more month before my return back to the UK in April. He told me next time to get a retirement Visa that is the second winter I have used that system.👍

The rule states each calendar year it’s suppose to reset. Has that not been the case for some?

Just to clarify, there is no direct connection between Thai Immigration and the embassy or consulate where you apply for a tourist visa. They generally do not communicate about individual cases. A tourist visa also does not guarantee entry if you have an extensive history of tourist stays. Entry will always be subject to a discretionary assessment by the immigration officer, based on your overall travel history and whether your pattern still reflects genuine tourism.
That said, having a tourist visa may give you a slightly better chance of entry if you are approaching the upper range of what is normally tolerated for tourism, but it is still not a guarantee. Be prepared with and onward ticket, proof of accommodation and funds if asked.

If you believe that a tourist visa issued by a foreign mission overrides your previous entry history with Thai Immigration, you are mistaken. When you apply, you are essentially only confirming who you are, where you are travelling from, and that you wish to enter on a visa. The final decision on entry always rests with immigration at the border.Peter ********
