"but no final decision or implementation date has been announced"

They've been saying they want to do this for a year without it actually happening.

So I'll wait for the final decision and a announced date it will happen before I tell people it'll be down to 30 days.

Jim Davis Since my stay is based on marriage, I needed to show my marriage certificate and also my husbands ID.

But he never had to go with me.

Just the Residence Certificate, and the appropriate visa or extension of stay, along with supporting documents for that.

Alan Rothwell That is the reports from the people doing it.

Immigration does not like the DTV visa, and apparently seem to do their best to make it a absolute chore to get a extension done in country.

Marion Gs You need to go to your local Immigration Office every 90 days when inside of Thailand, with a copy of your most recent TM30 from your accommodation.

Many people don't do it and face no consequence, but if you want to play it all by the book, you should do this.

The easiest thing to do is just leave and come back every 180 days or less.

Extending at a Immigration Office will require the same, if not more, documents than when you applied in the first place. And the documents need to be updated.

Much easier to just leave and come back.

Take a little holiday somewhere nice instead of a day at the Immigration Office.

Do you work remotely, or are you actually genuinely retired?

Retirement visa does not allow for you to work at all.

DTV lets you work remotely for non-Thai entities.

Do you mean you got the Non-O 90 day visa at the end of last year, and you are now about to extend it for the first time, or did you already extend around this time last year?

If you already extended once, and don't want to give 25k to the agent who didn't tell you everything to "fix it", skidaddle over to Laos, apply for another 90 day Non-O while there, and start over again.

Make it a holiday, and don't reward agents who don't tell you everything you need to know.
