Is it possible to leave Thailand for a short trip before receiving my 1-year extension of stay?

I am going back to Immigration on later this month to get my 1 year extension of stay.

So I am in the "Under Consideration" stage of it all.

But before this I have been requested to be a travel-buddy for someone who has never flown before before I get my stamp.

It would be a 1-2 day thing and I would be back in good time before I am supposed to go to Immigration to get my finalized stamp.

Would this be a problem?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can travel for 1-2 days before finalizing their 1-year extension of stay at Immigration in Thailand. It's essential to obtain a re-entry permit before departing, as leaving without it may cancel all visa processes, requiring the user to restart the application.

You need to get a re-entry permit before you leave, either from your immigration office or from the airport after you go through security. If you leave without this, everything you have done so far will be cancelled and you would return without anything and have to start over completely.

So as long as I get the re-entry stamp, no problem?

As long as you are back before the end of your under consideration period
