Hello all, would love to get in touch with anyone whose done the ED visa + guardian (non -O). I’m 34 days into my 60 day stay on multiple entry visa and about to enroll my child into an international school. Is it possible to do this visa while in Thailand or will I eventually have to to leave the country. I’m hearing it can take up to a month to process.

Is there a visa agent or visa service that takes care of the guardian visa including opening up the bank account, funding the bank account for the guardian visa on the clients behalf then getting their money back once everything is approved? My life companion had DTV Visa, we are living together since 18 years ... In France, we call our union "PACS" . We have a child together... And the administration told us that they need weeding certificate ... The "PACS" union is not recognize ... Other people in this situation ... ? What can I do ?

Hello, My son (Kindergarten student) is on a 3-month non-ed visa at the moment. We need to get him a 1-year extension. Is it one of the requirements to show proof of funds in a Thai bank account to get the extension? I find different answers on the internet. I'm on a DTV visa, so I don't have a bank account here.

Hi. I’m in a bit of a pickle here. My son and my visa expires on 12th Nov. My 500k bank deposit will be 3 months on 13 Nov..ie one day late. Must we leave the country on the 12th or can i just go on the 13th to immigratio and get a slap in the wrist and a fine for it? Or would they take it seriously and throw us out. Obviously any risk is not worth taking. So want to know if anyone knows for certain what the consequences are. Thanks much

My young children and I are currently on a guardian and education visa. Do we need to cancel them BEFORE applying for a dtv or can we do that after the dtv is approved. I really don't want to cancel and then apply for the ED again if my dtv gets rejected.

We moved to Bangkok a month ago and partner is here on a Non O Guardian visa (daughter is on an Ed visa).

They now have an offer of part-time work at a school and the school have said they will arrange the work visa.

I'm wondering what happens if work ends. I think the work visa ends immediately. Can they then go back onto a Guardian visa and if so, what is the process please?

My family and I (wife and I and two elementary school aged children) are planning to move to Thailand in May. My kids will attend an International School that is recognized by the Thai government. While in Thailand, we plan to travel around Asia extensively during their school breaks. My kids will be on ED visas but I have heard there are issues with multiple entries on that visa type. We planned on getting the Guardian visa, but I am now considering the DTV visa for my wife and I. If we are clearly traveling during school holidays, do immigration officers still give ED visas a hard time? Would it be more advantageous for us to be on DTV vs Guardian?

Has set up a bank account. How much needs to be deposited so that they can go and get a one year extension before the 90 days is finished?

Have seen 500k and 800k mentioned in different places.
