Lol no I didn't. I love Penang but I hadn't been to Saigon before and wanted to try somewhere new. No beach but definitely better beer.

I got mine in Ho Chi Minh - they only asked to see my flights into and out of Thailand (no cash / proof of lodgings, which I had with me anyway just in case).

Dropped off my passport 11:00am and picked up 1:30 the next day. No queues.

Spent 3 days drinking amazing craft beer. Really easy and more fun than Penang IMHO.
