Hi again all.
One further part to my last q as commenting was closed, and this just occurred to me.
Is it possible to go from amnesty to employment while in-country?
To recap; I have a 1 year multi entry non-O based on marriage, issued Nov 2019. Last entry March 2nd, stamped in until May 30th.
If I choose to go with the amnesty or get a 60 day in-country extension and then after May 30th get a job offer, is it possible to proceed without needing to go overseas?
Presumably the company can provide whatever documentation CW would usually require for an in-country non-B application.
Cheers again!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the possibility of transitioning from an amnesty status to an employment visa (Non-B) while remaining in Thailand. One user mentioned that it is generally not possible to switch to a Non-B visa while on amnesty, as immigration offices typically require valid days on the current visa. Another user suggested waiting to obtain another year-long multi-entry Non-O visa based on marriage, which allows for employment without the need to switch visas.
