DTV approved in Penang, Malaysia 🇲🇾

This has been a battle folks but we did it!!!

First I will say do not plan coming this place it has been classified as the hardest and longest to get approved and the process is so tiring. I arrived here April 29 and the approval went through today May 29 so total of 30 days wild. I went with an agency which be honest was good idea cause they literally helped call the embassy and push my interview due to Penang can’t go the embassy anymore they have to request for interview. I have 3 weeks of them requesting my 3 months documents in a row ridiculous honestly but in the end it was approved. Please do research and go somewhere else they have a 50% chance here if you get approved or not.

After my visa application got cancelled, I don't have any other option except to try applying again. But at the same time, I'm running out of time on my Vietnamese visa — I’ll have to leave the country by tomorrow at the latest.

Which embassy should I choose between Penang and Jakarta?

These would be the best options for me because my country doesn't require a visa for up to 30 days.

Im considering going to Penang to apply for my DTV. I have a friend there that can house me for a while during the process. Has anyone had any issues with applying in Penang as well as traveling by land?

Can anyone recommend agent for applying DTV in Penang? Please no hate and stop the DIY comments. I prefer having an agent. Thanks.

Looking to go to Hanoi or Penang to complete my DTV. Anyone know the current days to approve at either? I feel like my file is complete as a remote worker.

Also at either Penang or Hanoi, what are there bank statement requirements ?

I'm thinking about applying for ED-VISA via E-Visa website by choosing the Thai Embassy in Penang Malaysia. Does anybody applied from there? Is it quick service or take too long?

The first round of extra documents requested where some questions about my work, whether I have an office in Thailand, and how often I travel there. The second request was for more details about my work and a sample of it.

I will need to apply for DTV digital nomad soon, I should apply from Malaysia. Does anyone know which one is the easiest and fastest consulate for obtaining a visa? KL or Penang? Any info about Cambodia?
