Hi all - quick question - if you're getting your 1 year extension of stay based on employment at Chaengwattana is it possible to get a multiple re-entry permit on the same day? Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to obtain a multiple re-entry permit on the same day you receive your 1-year extension of stay based on employment at Chaengwattana. However, it is important to first secure the extension of stay before applying for the re-entry permit.

Thought so - was given advice to the contrary by our HR. Cheers for clearing that up!

Can you get a single re-entry permit, after getting the extension, and if so, how much is it?
they have signs up stating if you need an extension and a re-enter permit get the extension FIRST. :O
That's because some people were getting a re-entry permit first, then going and getting a new year's extension, only to find out the re-enter permit expired on the expiration date of their OLD extension :)

Is there anything that the "Legend" does not know?

once you get your new extension, go downstairs and make a copy of it, your data page, your TM.6 departure card, fill out a TM.8 application for re-entry, glue picture to it and queue up in section C-2. 3800baht and a good amount of time later you'll get a multiple re-entry permit
