A few notes on getting my 60 day extension to visit family at Chaengwattana (currently in a 1 year multi-entry non O, stamped in March 2nd, I'm here on the amnesty). Please delete if not relevant.

- I'd printed off scans of all the required passport pages - the Officer declined these - said only photocopies were acceptable so I had to go downstairs to get them.

- Despite my visa type I now have to do 90 day reporting - wasn't aware this would be the case.

- I was also asked for a signed copy of my landlord's ID card - I had one with me but didn't actually know I needed it).

Despite the fact that it was Monday morning I was in and out in 90 minutes ๐Ÿ˜Š

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the author's experience in obtaining a 60-day extension to visit family on a Non-O visa in Thailand. The writer notes specific requirements at Chaengwattana immigration, such as the need for physical photocopies of documents, a signed landlord ID card, and the unexpected obligation for 90-day reporting. Despite these requirements, the process was relatively quick, taking only 90 minutes.

i was in and out in 20 minutes for an extension this afternoon (even finding a parking space was easier than ever). they told me i don't need to do my 90 day reporting (which was due last week) until september, but it has to be done at muang thong thani.

Sadly they are incorrect :( IF you took the amnesty and didn't file a 90 day report between Mar 26 and July 31st you now have from Aug 1st to Aug 31st to file one.

AND seeing as your 90 day report was due last week meaning it was due in AUGUST, you need to file it this month no doubt about it. There is no more amnesty on 90 day reporting. GO do it

How can you do a 90 day report on a 60 day extension?

I guess on the basis that I've been in country over 90 days and am not on the amnesty (as of this morning).

I thought it was odd, which is why I posted.

nope, nothing at all to do with the fact you've been here longer than 90 days NOW. It's got to do with the fact you got an extension that runs LONGER than 90 days from the date you got it :)
