Can I submit my application for a one-year marriage extension in Thailand right up until my current visa expires?

Hi all. As briefly as I can; I currently have a 1 year non-O multi entry based on marriage - valid until Nov 4th. I was stamped in until May 30th, went onto the amnesty and recently got the 60 day visit family extension so I'm good now until Nov 25th.

I'm going to apply for the in-country 1 year extension based on marriage and have just transferred the 400k into my local account.

- Am I able to submit the application right up to Nov 25th or do I have to / is it advisable to apply a certain amount of days before then? I'm looking to maximize the time I get on the current stamp and subsequent extension.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a one-year NON-O multi-entry visa based on marriage and has received a 60-day extension. They inquire about the timing for applying for a one-year extension based on marriage, specifically whether they can apply right up until their current extension expires on November 25th. The community advises that while they can apply close to the expiration date, it is recommended to do so 2-3 weeks prior to avoid risks of overstay and to ensure all documentation is correct.

you can apply right up to the day your current extension expires BUT know if you burn it down that close AND you don't have the correct documentation you're gonna run onto overstay while you sort it out.

I'd go a couple weeks before this current extension runs out (second week in Nov).

Believe me it's better to get the documentation RIGHT, than to be a "day counter", get it wrong and run on overstay

you need that 400K baht to be in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply AND you can't apply any earlier than 45-30 days before this current extension expires

can this money be drawn out from foreign ATM card and slowly deposited into Thai Bank Account until the 400k is reached? Or does this money need to be shown as transferred from abroad?

@James *******
for the yearly extension there is no requirement to show where the 400K baht in funds came from only that it has been in the account in your name for 2 months before you apply.

For an in country 90 day Non-O visa you show that it came from abroad
