You can do it by mail. As easy as going to your local post office and posting a letter!

What do you call "long term" as there is no such visa

If you're still on visa amnesty, you are in deep shit. It finished on October 31st last year, which by my reckoning puts you on ten months overstay! Hopefully, you've been going every 60 days and applying for the so-called "covid extension" and paying 1900 baht, otherwise you're about to be booted out of the country!

Bessie Fredberg..Be aware the volunteer visa costs 2000 baht. If you are paying upwards of 50,000 baht, it is not a legitimate visa. Whilst it will probably work for you, if you are caught out, it could result in deportation and a long ban on re-entering

Bessie Fredberg. Just be advised the covid extension scheme finishes on September 29. Although it is most likely to be continued for another two months, there is no guarantee it will continue indefinitely. It is not a scheme to be used for long term planning.

Graham Seal. A tourist visa or visa-exempt extension has always been a very straightforward and speedy transaction. Some non-immigrant and covid extensions get under consideration, but never a tourist.

There's no under consideration period for a tourist visa extension. Never has been so I don't know where you got that idea
