I know that this has been covered by many but I am still getting confused. When I open a bank account in Thailand and deposit my 800K THB into the account. I will let it sit for 2 months before my renewal of an visa extension.
My questions is: If I do not touch the money and keep the 800K for one year and go for my next extension. Does Thai immigration look at the amount in the bank account or does it look at the account and check to see if it has oversea deposits transactions each month?
The account will not drop below 800K and some months it will not have any deposits.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing your visa in Thailand, the immigration office primarily checks that you maintain a balance of 800,000 THB in your bank account. They are concerned with showing that this amount has been in the account for at least 2 months before applying for an extension and must remain for 3 months after. While some immigration offices may request that you have an updated bank book at the time of your application, they generally do not require records of monthly transactions unless you are opting for a different method of proof involving transfers.

BKK Bank enters a code, FTT. It stands for foreign transfers. You can use TransferWise for both the 800,000 baht transfer and the 65,000 a month transfer. That’s what my Thai gf said they told her.
My immigration office required me to make a transaction on the day of the visit to the office and have my passbook updated that day to show I have access to the funds.
When you renew your retirement visa you need a letter from your bank and also photocopies of your bank book. First page and all pages going back one year. Don’t forget to sign photocopies.
You are confusing two separate ways to show proof of funds.
One way is the 800K baht banked money (and you need the 800K baht in the bank for 2 months before you apply for the new extension, it needs to stay in the account for 3 months after you get the extension granted and you can't let the balance go below 400K baht the rest of the year)
The other one is 65K baht a month transferred in to your account from abroad for the previous 12 months before you apply for your next extension.
Seeing as you are using banked money the immigration office won't care at all if there was any activity to the account or not. Just that you meet the seasoning requirements like I outlined.
Phil Charles Andre. Screenshots of the home page in English, and once logged in, you have your own personal home page where you can print statements, carry out transfers etc. It's really very simple!
There is no need for monthly transfers if you’re using the banked money method. If you want to switch to monthly transfers then you need 12 x 65,000 baht (minimum) plus you’d need to have kept the conditions of your last extension which means a balance of 800k for 3 months after and not go below 400k for the rest of the year.
Many people have a separate account and leave the 800k in it just for immigration purposes. No issue if it’s not changed at all. You just need to update the bank book on the day you apply and get a new letter from the bank stating your balance.
