Waste of money and risk of dodgy practice that can bite you in the ass later. Especially the ones you don’t need 800K deposit.

It’s really not that hard to do yourself

to show a ticket out of Thailand. You only need it to be valid for the day you inter Thailand. Cost about 15 usd 😉
Tore *********
Yes, but no need to leave 😉 You can enter on visa exemption, then extend that another 30 days for 1900 baht at a immigration office.

In Chiang Mai you can actually go to Immigration and extend immediately after you arrive and get total 60 days. CM probably has the “friendliest” immigration office in Thailand. When I did my extension there I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

But there is two locations, go to the one at the Central Festival Mall. Rarely any queue there

You need:

- printout of TM 30 registration from your accommodation

- passport photo

- 1900 baht (cash only)

- passports, photocopies of passports and visa stamp

- prefill TM7 makes it faster, download at

at least at the Dutch embassy the only difference is higher financial requirements. I was never asked for proof of employment. But things can vary between embassies
Tore *********
I’m not aware the METV requires employment as long as you have the minimum required funds to show for. When I applied (from EU country I was never asked for proof. I was technically employed when applying, but unemployed when I went. But the bank statement I sent obviously showed my income as well.

Never heard that being an issue before , all they usually care about is that you have enough money. A

BUT each embassy may have their own special requirements.

@Manfred *********
it doesn’t matter, even if embassy makes a mistake the responsibility is still yours. Saying “but the embassy approved” when standing at the Immigration desk, when you declared you acknowledged the rules during the application wouldn’t fly.

But again, people can do what they want. I’m just stating what the actual rules are, and the potential consequences
Tore *********
@Manfred *********
it is what it is, i don’t make the rules. People can do what they want, but I’m not personally willing to risk getting blacklisted and ruin my chances for retirement in Thailand
Tore *********
@Manfred *********
yes, you didn’t get caught. Still fraud and if Thai immigration would have noticed when you entered you would have been denied and banned entry for some years.

You cheated and got away with it, it happens. But it’s a dangerous game
Tore *********
@Manfred *********
incorrect, you absolutely have to be in the country you apply from when you apply. You declare/sign that you are during the application process AND they ask for your visa pages in the passport. Any open stamp they will see.

Some get away with it when embassy doesn’t check well, but it’s basically fraud.

The big issue is if immigration notice when you arrive that you had an open stamp for example in Thailand at the time of getting the Visa. That can get nasty
