Chong Mek Border bounce

Just some practical Q's :) Doing bounce in 2 days on the day my stamp expire (METV) First 60 day stay + extension expire. (Norwegian passport, Dutch residency))

- Are there easy Parking by the border? (Looks like on google maps)

- I understand i can pay the Lao VOA in baht?

- Can I walk right back, or should i go grab some food and wait a bit before walking back into Thailand?

3 proofs prepared, (flying back to Europe within 60 days).

Should be smooth sailing?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning a border bounce at Chong Mek as their METV visa stamp is about to expire. They have questions about parking availability at the border, the ability to pay for a Lao visa on arrival in Baht, and whether they need to wait before re-entering Thailand. Comments from the community confirm that there is parking available, the Lao visa can be paid in Baht, and that one can walk straight back into Thailand.

There's parking at Chong Mek. You can pay for the Laos visa in Baht and you can walk straight back in.

I did the Laos border at Mukdahan this week and the VOA was 1800B. Have some 20B and 100B notes available for incidentals both out and back in. I had a car so therefore more incidental for me.

You cannot take a rental as the car needs a "passport"
