"The Embassy cannot issue any letters stating that it is not possible to travel to Denmark, as it is entirely possible to fly to Denmark."

I'd bet dollars to durian, though. That there are a max of 2-3 Danes even interested in this.

As you can clearly see. Talk to your Thai embassy. I'd suggest doing that before you start making the payment (as described in the initial approval email.)

Or as mentioned above, get that embassy letter ("unable to travel") and seek an extension. No idea if the Belgian embassy will help with that.
