How can I extend my tourist visa stay in Udon Thani and what should I know about TM30?

Ahoi shipmates. I'm looking at maybe extending a tourist visa stay in Udon Thani. I'd be staying at a proper hotel, so I can't imagine the tm30 nonsense being any problem.

But 1. does it work basically the same as in Bangkok? I mean copies and application should be roughly the same?

And 2. are there any nearby photo/copy shops that understands this business? I see a good few on maps. But would be nice to go in with the right size of photos etc.
