How long does the Thai Elite visa clearance process take, and what does it involve?

Thai Elite Questions. The site says

"1-3 months waiting for clearance checking."

Anyone here done this recently? How long did it take?

And what does this "clearance" entail? I mean, it's not a process you have to facilitate in some manner?

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The clearance process for the Thai Elite visa typically takes 1-3 months, primarily due to a police background check to ensure that applicants have not overstayed their visas. However, experiences vary; some individuals report receiving clearance in as little as one month.

I think I'm prepared for that. Thanks!

It's the police background check they run now that takes the time. A friend was told 1-3 months but they called him after a month and said it came back and they were good to go

For something like 3-4 years, I've only gotten good info from Tod. And I'm eternally grateful.

I believe it’s to check that you have not overstayer a visa and a background check

Would make sense. Thanks again!

I think they check with the Thai police

Thanks! Makes me wonder how they can do a "background check". I don't think Danish authorities would hand over any info on a citizen. Not that I would have any problem with it.
