What is the process for transferring funds to Thai Elite using Bangkok Bank, and what is the juristic number?

Thai Elite (TE) question. I have the approval letter. I have the funds in Bangkok Bank (BB).

So I go to my local BB branch and ask how to proceed. First she talks about dividing into instalments over 10 days. That won't work, of course. So she calls over a superior and it emerges we can do this quicker. But! They need the "juristic" number of the company (I'm guessing some sort of legal ID number.) So I write TE and ask if they can help with that. And they just send me the account info again. Sigh!

I think my next move is to go the EmQuartier BB branch and inquire there. But it feels a bit stuck.

Anyone have any idea 1) about this "juristic" number nonsense. And 2) something magical I can say to facilitate this.

Btw, my BB account is a regular savings with a debit card.

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has received an approval letter for the Thai Elite Visa and wants to transfer the required funds from Bangkok Bank. Initially facing hurdles regarding a 'juristic number' needed for the transfer, they seek advice on how to expedite the process and clarify the necessity of this number. Comments suggest that it should be possible to transfer the funds directly through online banking or at a branch without this information, and various members share their experiences and potential solutions to navigate Bangkok Bank's procedures.

The minute I hit a wall I recognise it's not elite.

I am agent but probably too late to take over the case. A safe workaround would be to take out the money in cash and then bring it to Krung Thai Bank in 195 Empire Tower South Sathorn Rd., Yannawa, Sathorn,Bangkok

That worked a charm. Like some kind of magic wand :) Too much money supposedly on the way to Elite.

I see that's edited now. To "work visa option". Which could make more sense :) And thanks, Ajay Narai. But I am not looking to work.

Thanks for the info on juristic nr.

I'm gonna try my main branch. And, possibly see if that number resolves matters.

Thank you, Ole! I will bring that as an ace in the pocket. Cheers!

Oh, and I would love to avoid carrying that cash :D

oh and quite sure there is no magic number and none of my clients ever had this problem nor did I when I applied. You could give them their tax ID to help them saving face, it´s TAX ID : 0-1055-

Did you use an agent?

As far as i know thai elite reps are still working to process new members.

And/or this mythical "juristic" number Elite refuses to give me.

They are. The main problem is Bangkok Bank, at the moment.

If its a thai elite visa, the thai elite reps will be with you through the whole process.🤔, thats why its a thai elite visa. The first time you just go with the rep and they do everything for you. Maybe you have bought a thai delete visa?🤔🤷‍♂️

That's the thing :)

You need to pay them first :)

if u want to send in one lump sum i see not problem there is only restrictions on amounts sent over or by internet and it’s usually say 100,000 at any one time but not if you go to a bank with passport etc
Thomas ********************
ORIGINAL POSTER
That would be perfectly fine. As I understand it, I just need to complete transfers within a week from starting.
Wayne ********
i just paid straight into TE account without any issues but this is thailand and different banks and branches come up with different restrictions etc i bet if u went to another BB branch they would probably just do it x good luck

Hehe, wouldn't surprise me. I'll try that tomorrow :)

You should be able to just transfer the money through the app.

Are you sure about that? In one go? She also talked something about a max of 100k pr transfer if I did it myself. Communication wasn't excellent, though.

You shouldn't need this stuff, presuming it's only 500,000 for the five year you should be able to do it through PromptPay/online with just their account number, and you can send it all in one go. You may have to increase your limit on max transfers but you can do that through the phone banking, you don't even have to speak to a Bangkok Bank person, you can do it 100% through the automated system.

Might look into that, yeah. Cheers!

Cheers again mate

To explain the steps-

(1) you have to call Bualuang Phone 1333, on the phone, to make sure your limit is increased to 500,000. This you can do by sticking codes into the handset, you con't need to talk to someone. There's a phone menu "map" at the link below to make this a bit easier.

(2) once your limit is set at 500,000, you can do the transfer online through Bualuang iBanking, just go to add new transfer. IIRC there may be a delay/limit on new 3rd party accounts, I think you have to wait a few days before you can transfer an amount that large. So add them now, and you'll be able to do the actual transfer next week.

Thanks again! For peace of mind I just wanted a clerk type to put in the transfer(s). Kinda still want that. But if they don't do better at EmQuartier, it's definitely time for something like that.
