Can I extend my tourist stay and do 90-day reports at Bumrungrad Hospital in Thailand?

Bumrungrad update. Just a reminder that you can extend tourist stay and do 90 day reports at bumrungrad hospital. Downside is you have to show up on a Saturday morning. It costs a bit extra as well. But man! What an absolute pleasure not having to go to chaengwattana. Plus it's a pretty good excuse to have a forenoon beer.

Thanks for the tip, Tod!

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend your tourist stay and do 90-day reports at Bumrungrad Hospital. While you need to physically show up on a Saturday morning and it incurs an extra fee (900 THB), many users find the service convenient compared to the traditional processes like those at Chaengwattana. Also, the service is not limited to patients and relatives; anyone can utilize it, and arrangements can sometimes be made via email without prior in-person attendance.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Serviceto get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Join the Thai Visa Advice Facebook Group to ask your questions, and get advice from others.

Okay, no matter what people are or were being told ANYONE can use this service AND if you hammer them you can do it all via email without having to show up in person before hand.

Don't take no for an answer and you'll be fine.

This is the best service. Used to do it many times. No need to be an in-patient. Convenient, comfortable and worth every baht.

Was that a tourist extension? I brought my own photo, but 50 of 900 extra baht was "photo service" lol. Only needed the one.

1900 for the extension.

900 baht now for the extra service fee of doing it there (800 when I went before)

200 baht for 6 photos done on site. (If you don’t bring your own)

So 900-1100 extra on top of the extension fee. Which is the same at Chaengwattana.

Could happen, I guess. However, money talks. And I'm fairly certain they enjoy the extra bahts.

I would expect it to be a service for the patients mostly. Otherwise word would get out and it would be mobbed. I kept hearing rumors about it though . . .

When I was there, that's what they told me. If I was a patient or getting treatment I could extend. I hope folks don't abuse a great service to their patients.

I know someone who works there. She is going to ask on Monday. If that doesn’t work I will go myself next week. It’s near Duke Language School. I start school again on Wednesday.

Thomas, it says you have to be a patient or relative to a patient in order to use this service.

Does that mean you have to be admitted to the hospital or is it good enough that you are registred in their system as a once-in-a-while outpatient?

That's what they told me as well. But it seems it can be accomplished by mail if you insist :)
