January is great. No rain, not too hot, but plenty of tourists.

You should check out Koh Chang and Koh Samed to the east, or Kanchanaburi and Hua Hin to the west.

No, you don't, unless you piss off the immigration officer

Is Agoda a reliable platform for booking flights compared to airlines' websites?

Steve *******

Yes no problem, just check to make sure it's the same kind of ticket. A lot of times the cheap prices shown don't include meals or checked luggage.

Other times the cheap option tries to sell you these things, even though the airline gives it to you for free, regardless of where you bought your ticket.

What are the options for opening a Kasikorn bank account in Bangkok with a DTV visa, and do I need an agent?

the banks don't let you open a bank account on DTV. Trust me, I've tried. I've been on the phone with the SCB head office while sitting at the Central Pattaya branch and they refuse to budge on the work permit-rule.

Thai banking is designed for the opposite of user friendliness.
