TLDR : Answer Summary
For a one-month stay in Thailand on a DTV visa, whether you need to file a TM30 form generally depends on where you are residing. If you're staying in a hotel, they typically handle the TM30 filing automatically. If you're in a rental condo, the landlord should file it within 24 hours of your arrival. It's important to note that filing is primarily necessary if you plan to extend your stay or require a certificate of residence. Furthermore, there are indications that a new system (TM6) may change this requirement in the near future.

Wtf are you doing buying a DTVisa if your not staying 🙄

No, as you will not be dealing with immigration before you leave, you don't need to do one.

And if you're staying at a hotel, they have already done it for you.

Yes need to do

If you're only here for a month I wouldn't bother. The only people who care are at the immigration office and you won't be going there. Airport immigration don't care one little bit

Hotel or landlords responsibility to do within 23 hours of you renting

Not on you to complete and if you won't be here 90 days it dosnt matter

Yes, but where you are staying are supposed to provide one. You only really need it if you are getting an extension or certificate of residence, which it sounds like you’re not.

Yes, the TM30 form must currently be completed shortly after your arrival. If you're staying in a condo, check with the owner to ensure it's done. For hotels, they typically handle it automatically. A new system (TM6) is expected to launch in May, requiring pre-arrival filing, which should render the TM30 unnecessary in most cases (if not moving your address).
