Anonymous participant 415 this particular law isn't enforced, so technicality wins.

I'm not saying you should break other Thai laws though 😅

There is no proof of accomodation in the country you're applying in-criteria in the application.

You can upload proof of accomodation in Thailand, but that is irrelevant for the DTV visa.

The embassy just needs you to prove that you are in the location you are applying in.
Steve *******
No you don't. You can technically stay 180 days and not do the report, as long as you don't need anything from immigration, like a certificate of residence to buy a vehicle or similar.
Steve *******
There is no 90 day extension. Your stamp is valid for 180 days, not 90.

There is no rule about work history, but every embassy makes their own decisions based on their own rules.

So scroll through the group and see if anyone else has been in this situation.
Steve *******
It only applies to travelers from high risk countries, and you can just say No.

You can't apply for a via to visit a country while you're in said country.

Go to one of the neighboring countries with an embassy and apply there.

You should be able to have extra cheese on your pizza for free

Anonymous participant anyone can apply to any visa. But each embassy can make their own decisions to approve or deny the application.

So we could all speculate, but no one can answer that either. Someone might have already done exactly this and gotten the DTV, but that wouldn't change the fact that your application might be totally different and get denied.

You'd better keep the DTV if you don't think the potential job is for you.
