APPROVED: Soft power (Muay Thai) Manila, 6 business days

All I did was upload all of the documents EVO360 provided along with the additional personal details.

The whole application only took me 20 minutes. Didn’t organize anything. I’m not sure what all the fuss is about 😜.

Printed the visa and received an instant 180 day stamp in BKK. Giddy up.

Just completed my trip to Myanmar via Ranong. We drove down in our car and parked by the pier. Immediately we were offered boat trips so we paid a guy 1000bt to take us. I was the only one on the boat. In addition 500 bt for Visa. Everyone was very helpful including immigration on both sides.

This was my first time not flying in and out on DTV so was happy for the guy's help and didn't begrudge the 1k. Overall it took 2 hrs in total. No questions at all about my DTV. Not asked about funds or anything. 180 more days in my passport

I recently got my DTV! When I print it out, does it need to be full paper sized

Or can I shrink it down?

As every embassy or consulate has slightly different requirements / paperwork for a DTV, I wanted to run this scenario by all of you so that you can point out any pitfalls I might encounter.

I want to apply for a remote workers DTV in a few months.

Recently I set up a Sole Proprietorship company in another country ( Indonesia ) where I would be acting as the sole shareholder/ director of the company but not as an employee.

The company specializes in Business Consultancy and this is the seasonal work I would be doing while inside Thailand for six months a year.

None of my client base is inside Thailand, all Europe.

The problem is, like Thailand it is a PITA to sort out work permits and business visas for Indonesia but I do NOT need any special visa to be an UNPAID director or shareholder of a company registered there.

The only future income I will be earning will be when I will be remotely working while in Thailand.

So, taking into consideration that I am not an employee but a documented business owner / majority shareholder of a non Thai company with no proof of income YET , will this pass the application process and can it be explained away ?

I can show 500.000 thb in a Thai bank account for over 3 months.

Still undecided as to where I will apply.

Suggestions, comments and advice how to address this issue appreciated.

Hi guys !

I’m really being curious how to live in Thailand with DTV without any local bank account. ….

I have my own property and I am a director of a Thai registered company .

Are there’s facts still not valid to open a personal bank account in Thailand ?

Hi everyone,

Swiss citizen here.

I’m planning to apply for the DTV this December as a self-employed person.

The idea is to run a webshop (launching in October) via a UK Ltd, while being based in Hua Hin from mid-February.

Does anyone know if a official registered company is required for the DTV application?

Or would it be enough to submit a business plan, proof of the webshop, and a signed declaration that I’m self-employed?

Thanks a lot for any insights or personal experience!

Should I purchase local health insurance from nowconpare.com (e.g. Regency) before arrival on a DTV or after arrival using a local agent?

Hey, I’m planning to apply soon for DTV as a remote worker. I just got a new job at a new employer with a fully remote contract starting soon.

Is there generally a certain minimum amount of time/tenure you need to be actively employed on your current contract for DTV application? How much time on your current contract is needed for remote worker DTV application?

I'm so pissed off about some comments here. I've got the visa, I can work here remotely for overseas companies, I can pay taxes here, I can stay here for 5 years (with flights every 6 months). I don't have to pretend I'm a tourist, because I'm not, and it's clearly stated in my visa and my other documents. Period.

Are you a lawyer and want to force people to use your services? Why do you spread misinformation?

I have DTV but I’m considering changing nationality which in my case means canceling my old one. I suppose next I will just need to re-apply with the new passport.

I’m curious if anyone has had any experience.
