Is there a minimum employment duration required for a remote worker DTV application in Thailand?

Hey, I’m planning to apply soon for DTV as a remote worker. I just got a new job at a new employer with a fully remote contract starting soon.

Is there generally a certain minimum amount of time/tenure you need to be actively employed on your current contract for DTV application? How much time on your current contract is needed for remote worker DTV application?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand as a remote worker, there is generally no official rule regarding the minimum time you must be employed under your current contract. Responses from the community suggest variability, as different embassies may have their own interpretations. One user reported a specific requirement of 3-4 months of employment based on their experience in Taipei, while another was approved without any stated tenure in HCMC. It is advisable to check group discussions for personal experiences related to your situation.

I was told explicitly in Taipei that I needed 3-4 months on the new contract as a remote worker (even though I’d worked for my current company in the past as well).

They denied me. I applied again in HCMC and was approved recently.

There’s no such rule. Just go ahead and apply.

There is no rule about work history, but every embassy makes their own decisions based on their own rules.

So scroll through the group and see if anyone else has been in this situation.
