Hi everyone. I have read the posts and I’m writing this just to confirm I understand. I’m here on the DTV visa. I plan on going out of the country every 90 days (slightly before my 90days). If I do this continuously will I ever have to report for the 90 day in person reporting?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Users confirmed that if you are on a DTV visa and leave Thailand before the 90-day period, you do not need to report in person for the 90-day check-in. The consensus is that as long as you are not staying in Thailand for 90 consecutive days, the report is unnecessary. However, doing the 90-day report is relatively simple and quick, making it worth considering unless you have other travel needs.
1. Since you aren't in Thailand for 90 days you don't need to. Technically you can do <97 as there is some leeway
2. It's fairly easy to do the 90 report, but can take some time depending on where you have to do it. It's over all painless but does take a good part of a day + prep
3. Supposedly nothing really happens if you miss doing the 90 day report unless you are dealing with immigration in other matters. Personally I do my 90 day report
4. Unless you are really wanting to travel it's probably not worth it just to avoid the 90 day report
You are allowed to report afterwards for some days, but that does not mean you can stay over 90 days in a row without reporting.
Some immigration office might take time, some others it is within 5 minutes.
Preparation does not really take time, fill in an easy TM47 and make copies of TM30, passport and visa.
And you are right, only if you really want to travel you might travel outside every 90 days, but for preventing 90 days reporting that seems a bit overkill.
I would not plan my trips in such a way to prevent TM47 reports
yes, really. I wanted to make sure I understood. While I will be living in Thailand, I plan on traveling to other countries to vacation. I put my ignorance on blast. So, yes, really.

No, but 90d report is very easy… so unless you leave the country for another reason its not worth traveling.
I plan on vacationing so I thought I would make sense to travel when the report is due. It’s going to reset anyways and I promised myself a vacation every quarter.

Can't understand why people freak out about the 90 day report.it takes me between

minutes in chiang mai. Why spend money doing border bounces just to avoid the 90 report?
easy, by asking strangers on the internet for reassurance of my understanding so I don’t break any laws. I’m competent enough to realize I wasn’t 100% confident in an understanding. So, I chose to come onto Facebook to a group specifically made for these types of questions and asked. I cannot help if my ignorance makes you uncomfortable.

Anonymous participant your ignorance should make anyone around you uncomfortable truly 🤷♂️
How can an adult not understand if not here 90 days they do not have to do a 90 day report 🤣
I really hope you didn't and don't breed and pass on your genes ! Cause wow isn't even the word for this level of ignorance 🤣

If you are never inside Thailand for 90 consecutive days you never need to report

No you don't. You can technically stay 180 days and not do the report, as long as you don't need anything from immigration, like a certificate of residence to buy a vehicle or similar.
