Hi all,

this is the first time I'm writing here.

Me and my husband, we're planning to move to Thailand from the UK to start a new life there.

I'm 48 and I'm a Music Therapist and Counselor, but I'm also a bus driver.

My husband is 40, he is a chef but he is disable.

I'm trying to understand what kind of Visa we can get in order to work and live there.

I would like to start my own business as well, but I'm really struggling to understand what I can do to move there.

Thanks to all who kindly will give information about😊

If you get in person, they put in your passport right. So what if you lose it or need a new one. Can we ask them to email a digital version as well when we apply, or how would we get a new one…

Hi All. So I am about to apply for the DTV for remote work. The company I work for is owned by my brother though, and I am not sure if that could potentially be an issue.

I was thinking to combine my letter of employment, a pdf of the about us page on his website that shows me along with his other employees, and then the incorporation proof from the government website (which shows the company owner).

Do you think the fact that it's a company owned by a family member could be an issue?

Next week I am gonna apply in Jakarta and wanted to summarize all documents.

After the process I will share a detailled explanation about my experience there.

I will hand over in an ENVELOPE:

- Visa Application form

- 2 passphotos 3.5*4.5

- 5.6 Million IDR in cash

- INTRODUCTION LETTER applying for DTV workcation category, confirming can work remotely,

explaining my work, mentioning employer, position, salary and ability to take care of myself and my keen interest to live in Thailand

- REMOTE WORKING CONTRACT - employee can preform their duties remotely from any location abroad with wet stamp and signature from both parties

- 1 PAYSLIP from 1.10.24 (started to work for US Company with 1.09.24)

- BANK STATEMENTS: transfered savings from brooker and other accounts over 14k € a few days ago to wise account. On 1.10.24 first salary receivement, usually had just a few hundreds or thousands € on Account over the last couple month, provide 1-2 months statements

- PROOF OF CURRENT LOCATION: AIRBNB in Jakarta, receipt and pdf for visa purposes

-TRAVEL INSURANCE - it is mentioned in contract and supports the ability to support myself

I am from Germany, 2024 have been in Thailand for more than 180 days. More or less since 15.3 (with border runs and short travels) - stamp expiration 18.10

I have a rental Agreement(in Thailand) from 01.09.24 - open end.

In the remote working contract, which I signed in August, I have my current Thai address in - could ask for change, if necessary.

Any recommendations or adjustments? Appreciate any kind of help 🙏🏽

I’m heading to Jomtiem later this week for a month before going to Vietnam, where I intend to apply for a DTV. Whilst in Jomtiem I intend to check out a few gyms as I’m genuinely interested in learning Muay Thia (for the fitness aspect).

Does anyone have any recommendations please for a Muay Thai Gym in Jomtiem or Pattaya areas that can supply the required documents for DTV. Also information from anyone who has been successful with these gyms would be appreciated 😊

Just wanted to share that I successfully got the Residential Certificate today at the Chaeng Wattana Immigration Office. I have a DTV. I brought them my TM-30 that my landlord gave me a week after I moved in; a copy of the info page of my passport; a copy of my visa and entry stamp, and that’s it. I checked the boxes for wanting to get a drivers license and buying a car and so they charged 400 baht which I paid right there in cash. They gave me a little slip as receipt and said it would reach me in seven days by post. Also, I’ve only been here for 42 days so the 90 day requirement/report was not necessary there. Hope this helps

After 90 days do we have to file a TM 47 even if we just stayed at a hotel and the hotel filed a TM 30?

I thought staying in a hotel for a night rather than my condo (where I have lived for the past four years) gives me another 90 days, assuming the hotel filed the paperwork stating I was staying at their property.

Hi all! Just received my e-visa from Ho Chi Minh consulate (applied Oct 8), thing is they put a remark that my passport expires Sept 23, 2024. My passport is valid till Sept 23, 2029.

It could have been a mistake from my end when I input the validity date but I did remember double checking All the info upon submitting and was sure I put the right dates.

My question is, has anyone here experienced a mistake in their visa and managed to contact the consulate to have it updated? My worry is if it was indeed my mistake and I contact the consulate, then is there a chance they might cancel the visa? Torn between just igrnoring it or raising it to them.
