What should I do if there's a mistake in the validity date on my e-visa issued by the consulate?

Hi all! Just received my e-visa from Ho Chi Minh consulate (applied Oct 8), thing is they put a remark that my passport expires Sept 23, 2024. My passport is valid till Sept 23, 2029.

It could have been a mistake from my end when I input the validity date but I did remember double checking All the info upon submitting and was sure I put the right dates.

My question is, has anyone here experienced a mistake in their visa and managed to contact the consulate to have it updated? My worry is if it was indeed my mistake and I contact the consulate, then is there a chance they might cancel the visa? Torn between just igrnoring it or raising it to them.

TLDR : Answer Summary
After applying for an e-visa, a user noticed that the consulate mistakenly recorded an incorrect passport expiration date on their visa document. They expressed concern over whether to contact the consulate about the error, fearing it could lead to a visa cancellation if it was their mistake. Respondents overwhelmingly advised contacting the consulate to clarify and have the information corrected, stating that the situation is likely due to a clerical error on the consulate's part.

I would email and query there mistake and ask for them to correct it, and if they can’t for an explanation for the mistake for your records should immigration question it. Should be irrelevant as the visa is granted with dates though. But cover yourself.

It doesn't matter, the consulate made a typing error, it doesn't matter.

Obviously a mistake on their part, easily debunked by the physical passport itself as well as their own line item expiry date. Non issue in my eyes. You could ignore it or ask for an updated PDF visa.

Is the remark also on the visa itself, the PDF file?

A consulate would never approve a passport that has already expired. Even if you did enter this incorrect past date then visa should not be processed. Unlikely to be an issue entering the Kingdom but better to contact the consulate to advise them so you have it on record - sooner the better.
