Irene Leong Please tell us what long term visa is affordable in Malaysia. MM2H requires something like USD$230,000 in a Malaysian bank plus a high income.IMHO, Malaysia used to be affordable for retirees but not after 2021.
Mark Azavedo Some older people like me at 72 have no problem with technology. My electronic calendar is full of events which remind me what I need to remember. I primarily access the calendar on one of my two iPhones. I also have a MacBook (laptop), a Mac Mini desktop and a iMac which is also a desktop. I don’t stop learning about new technology just because I am “old”. Add: I just looked at your Facebook profile - if you can earn a MBA and PhD in BA, you certainly can learn how to use a smartphone.
Jae Brett it's not just tone - the vowel and consonant sounds in Thai are different than the sounds in western languages. They are formed in different parts of the mouth. I don't speak Thai but I believe that people should not use western letters to learn Thai - they should learn the Thai written language first and learn the Thai sounds for the Thai "alphabet". Also the learn Thai with Thai method looks seems interesting. (Note I learned this from Stuart Jay Raj both from his online "lectures" and his book about learning the Thai language.
Don't think so. The METV becomes valid when approved. Every day before a person enters Thailand after approval means one less day METV before the METV expires.
From previous post: "Get it as close to when you're coming here as you can because it's valid for 6 months from the date they ISSUE it not from the date you enter "
