the minimum for soft power is 500k baht, but some people say that is not enough to apply and that youll still need proof of income.

For the soft power option

So long as you prove you have 500k bhat, what are the requirements for income proof? Do you need to be making a certain amount?

I would like to apply for a DTV workcation via Ho Chi Minh City. Do I need to create a portfolio? I am self-employed in Germany and would like to include my business registration. Do I also need to provide income or regular income? Or customer references?

Hubby and I are about to start the DTV process.

1. Do we need to show proof of income plus the 500,000bht or either or?

2. Can anyone suggest a Visa specialist they've used?

If I apply for a dtv (self employed) visa at the end of the month - do I need to show the receipts for that month?

For example - if I submit an application at the end of September, do I need to show September's receipts?

Hello, I am seeking expert advice on relocating my family to Thailand in June 2026. My children will be 17, 14, and 13 years old, and I am unsure about the specific visa requirements. Chat GPT suggested that the DTV would be the most suitable option for us. I plan to homeschool my children initially and later explore other educational options. As a remote federal employee, I anticipate continuing in my role abroad, but I am also exploring alternative employment opportunities. I am currently pursuing TEFL and Cybersecurity certifications. Although I do not have substantial savings, I expect to receive $100,000 to $150,000 from the sale of my house and additional funds from selling our belongings. However, I am concerned about meeting the income and asset requirements, particularly if the necessary funds are not available in my account at the time of application. I wont be able to sell my house till around March when it is closer to the time we leave. The price for a monthly rental here in PA will run us at least $5000 which is a lot so if i can stay here as long as possible I will. Can someone explain the financial guidelines to me? Will my current job count as income or my house as assets? Can anyone recommend a professional in Pennsylvania who can assist me with the visa application process? Hopefully I am making sense. Thanks in advance!

US passport married to Thai wife for 47 yrs. We have both spent 2-3 months several times in Thailand since 2000 and I’ve always received tourist visa for our trips We’ve planned on retirement there for some time but it hasn’t been a rush until now I’m 71, she’s 76. Her health is failing now and it’s become more urgent. I sent her 6/28/25 so she could be with her family while I clean out the house and close the lease. I know there are drawbacks to marriage visa (especially with her health) but I would be more able to have 400,000b than 800.000b. If I start the 65,000b transfer as soon as I get there to qualify for income based visa can I transfer to retirement visa after the first year? Do I have to have my own personal account or can I be added to her existing account? Thank you for any advice.

I run a limited company and pay myself a salary of £1,000 per month, with an annual dividend top-up of around £20,000. My total income on my tax return comes to approximately £32,000 per year.

I recently moved 500,000 THB from the company account into my personal account. I usually invest my funds personally (e.g. in stocks), and I generally keep a personal balance of around £3,000–£4,000. This time, I deposited the 500,000 THB directly into my personal account.

Will my salary and dividend structure be sufficient for DTV Workcation Visa? What’s the lowest amount of income has someone been accepted with?
