Anonymous participant 730 the first one after entering the country must be done in person. As DTV holders leave the country every 180 days they will never be able to do one online because subsequent 90 day reports will again be their first one, the clock resetting on your re entry.

If on the off chance you are one of the very few who have a extended in country then you might get to do one online, but as I understand it, in country extensions are being made extremely difficult

Jett Taylor yes, that is very confusing. My suggestion would be to email AQS in whichever airport you plan to fly into. If you do not get a response within 7 days then call them and ask them to reply to your email. Just be prepared to have to call multiple times as they are often too busy to pick up. If you have a response via email at least you have something in writing, direct from the people responsible for issuing the import permit.

Pitbulls are a very popular breed here in Phuket. The following documents from the Office of Agricultural Affairs from the Royal Thai Embassy clearly states that “No dog breeds are banned from importation”

There are also the contact details for the Animal Quarantine Stations (who I believe issue the import licenses) towards the bottom of the file. I would suggest giving the one in Bangkok a call and asking.

whilst I acknowledge that everyone is experiencing different things, my accounts have been frozen twice now. Both times I submitted the requested documents in branch, the teller made a call to HQ, and the accounts were unlocked before I left the branch.

You do not need a re-entry permit when on DTV.

If you are in “100% compliance” then you have nothing to worry about.

Expensive and time consuming

Please remember it will be very costly and there will likely be a lengthy spell in quarantine for the dog if you ever decide to leave Thailand. Thailand is not considered rabies free so most countries will request some kind of quarantine for them on return trips.

Any funds required for your visa must be in individual accounts. If retirement visa that would mean two separate bank accounts in Thailand. For DTV the accounts can be anywhere in the world, but again the required funds must be in separate personal accounts.
