Ryan Thomas generally is not "always"...I have the yellow book and went to laos and thought incorrectly that upon my return that I didn't need to go to immigration for the tm30..when I did go for the 30 day extension I was fined.

With the dollar dropping..be careful with the 65K baht monthly transfer..all you can do is to start the process and hope the exchange rate doesn't leave you with less than 65K transfer..maybe...keep the 800k baht in thai bank...until you know for sure..

verizon sucked for me... three trips internationally .. requested my phone be unlocked each time.. NOT...........and......I am not paying the $10 for one day... Whatsapp works great.. just need wifi in the hotel.. or where ever you are..

if you are on a motorbike... your "right of way" is second to drivers in cars.. always always check your six... oncoming cars that are passing... expect motorbike drivers to get outside the white line...
