Althought I'm Dutch, I think you have to deal with a Thai Embassy/Consulate, which are quite general concerning Visa's. The non imm O visa is the easiest way to go.
Allowed in Thailand for 90 days. After e.g. 60 days you can apply in Thailand at the immigraton Office where you are registered (TM30 form, normally within 24 hours after you arrive at your living place), for a year extension based on marriage. (It's NOT a visa anymore, although many people call this a visa. The visa gets a stamp "USED")
Most important is you have a Thai bank account in your name only, with 400kąøæ in it. Because UK is one of the 4 countries where the UK Embassy does not give an income statement, you also can transfer (as international) more than 40kąøæ every month for 12 months to that bank account instead of the 400kąøæ. Not sure if the 400kąøæ also have to be in that account for more than 2 months before applying, but I think so. But you have to ask your imm. office for a handout what they need exactly. There always can be some differences between these offices.
Check 2-3 months before you are applying for the Visa in the UK because maybe there are some changes although not likely. One advantage of the year extensions based on a non imm. O visa (instead of non imm O-A) is, that you don't need a Thai health insurance.
Note. Some people prefer the retirement year extension even if married (although 800kąøæ in bank or 65kąøæ(every month 12 times)) because it's less paperwork. AND you get your extension on the spot, so no 1 month waiting for "under consideration" period.
I got this one too. The broker told me it was a rather new player in the field, but I decided to take it anyway. I only know one real story on a Dutch Forum, but seems to be okay.

As mentioned before, I exchanged April for WR Life since April 1 this year via AA insurance... Last Tuesday night I became very unwell and was transported to the BPH (Bangkok Pattaya Hospital) in an ambulance without knowledge... I am extremely satisfied with their treatment and dedication. I came home again this afternoon and 2 hours after my discharge the invoice was fully paid by WR Life... Class!

. Yep, in some time I have the same question I guess. Maybe for me it's a bit more easy, because now I am registered in the house of my girlfriend but I/we are building a new house about 50m further. So everything stays the same except for the house number. I just ask in my local Amphur where I got it from I think. Maybe ask your new Amphur how they handle that. Would be nice to know indeed. Little bit the same for my Thai drivers license. On the back is my address too š¤·āāļø
, that I did not read/understand in the original message. When that's the case, then maybe an emergency passport will help as already sugested š¤·āāļø
