I requested to renew my insurance from a company listed in TGIA for the extension of stay for Visa OA. The company stated in the email "Due to the new regulation of Thai immigration has changed the coverage of Health insurance from 440k THB to 3.5m THB or 100,000 USD?" Could anyone advise if 440k THB coverage is still acceptable by the Thai immigration?

For the first Visa OA how put 800000b on an account bank Thai ??

Then, to have an account bank Thai you must to have a visa long stay, no tourism…

I live currently in New Caledonia and plane to move in Hua Hin next year.

Thanks and have a nice day every body.

Hi everybody, first question here but thanks for all useful information I got from reading post in the past.

I helped my mother to get a Visa OA 1 year, retired. She got it based on income from her retirement. She also show her saving account with more than the required 800000 Thb from immigration but on her local Belgian Bank account in euros.

My question is : will they check it again or as I believe stamp her one year at airport and ask for the required 800000 Thb on a Thai bank account the day she will extend her visa ?

Also to inform people; at the Embassy ( in Belgium) , they got pretty serious about her health cover from a Thai insurance. ( she’s 72 ) And they wanted official certificate of her monthly retirement/pension.

Thanks for info 🙏

So, anyone know what is required now as insurance to get into Thailand. I have never had it before of the many years going. Looking into it the prices are as high and higher than my $1000 dollar ticket! Suggestions please. I am old - 74 which seems to be a problem even when in excellent health and no meds.

Would appreciate advice please!

Thanks

Good afternoon !

Asking for some advise for a "non social media" buddy.

BACKGROUND

Visa OA Multi Entry| Issued Canberra Australia | Valid 27 Dec 2018 through 26 Dec 2019 | Entered Thailand 28 Jan 2019 and stamped in to 27 Jan 2020

QUESTIONS

If she leaves Thailand and re-enters before 26 Dec 2019 will she be stamped in for a year?

Is there any difference between re-entering via land or air border?

If she does get stamped in for another year (eg re-enters Thailand on 20 Dec 2019 and gets stamped in to 19 Dec 2020) and she then leaves Thailand in March 2020 and wants to re-enter the same month, will she need a re-entry permit to keep her stay valid to 20 Dec 2020 or does that exit and re-entry mean she has to re-enter on visa exempt for 30 days only and effectively invalidate the stamp until 19 Dec 2010.

Thanks guys - look forward to hearing from you
