It clearly states extension of stay is granted up to 14 May 2023 (60 days from 15 March 2023).

It states clearly you have to leave the Kingdom within that time period otherwise you will be prosecuted.

It advises you to obtain a re entry permit to preserve the permit.

And to report every 90 days.

So it would be prudent to obtain a re entry permit (1000 THB) by filing a TM-8 with Immigration before you leave and return to Thailand to start the process again.

, a re-entry permit wouldn't take him longer than May 14.

Yes I'm aware of that....he has to leave by 14 May. The Immigration advice is in order to preserve the said extension he will have to have a re entry permit.

The bottom line is the OP has to leave Thailand by 14th May or risk over stay and all that entails.

He is of course free to re-enter the Kingdom and start the process over again having preserved his "entitlement" with a re entry permit. 🙂

@Jay ********
, the extension on the picture is a 60 day extension for visiting Thai family.

If he entered Thailand with a non-immigrant visa (as he claims), he might be able to apply for a 1 year extension.

Your guess is as good as anybody's. Without confirmation from the OP it's all hearsay. But what is factual as you state, is the 60 days extension of stay expires on 14 May 2023.

If he gets a re-entry permit for 1000B he gets stamped in until 14-May, without a re-entry permit, and if he qualifys for visa exempt, he will get stamped in for 30 days for nothing.

Its only visit visa. Its not a non o visa

@Stuart ********
Aha. So when you DO have a non imm. O visa, you also can extend 60 days visiting Thai family.
Steve *******
@Peter ***************
You can extend 60 days on any entry even visa exempt if you have Thai dependant relatives.

@Peter ***************
Anyone who has a Thai family can apply for a 60 day extension. Depending on what type of visa they had (I.e single entry or multiple) it’s either once per entry or once per visa.

@ฮัสสัน ******
it's non o extension

Ya I want 1 year

@Mudasser ******
There is no extension for a Non O other than a one year extension.
Peter ****************
@Stuart ********
Well, I THINK I read from Tod Daniels that an extension of stay for visiting family is possible on a non imm. O ? 🤷‍♂️ But maybe I'm wrong.
Stuart *********
@Peter ***************
yes but it’s not a Non O extension. It’s an extension based on visiting Thai family. It’s irrelevant what visa the person initially entered.
ฮัสสัน *******
@Stuart ********
and he still needs to change it into non o visa
Stuart *********
@Mudasser ******
No it isn’t. It’s an extension based on having a Thai spouse. That’s what the red writing on the top says. Irrelevant what visa you came in on.
