I wonder what happens if you follow their explanation, and next year they say: We never said that, you forgot to report and have to pay big fine.

I am very surprised they say people with year visa do not have to report, only do 90 days.

Like everything else it differs very much how long it takes from city to city. For me to get it took months, my wife calling several times. Others say it took them very short time.

You will have time after your travels I guess. You can do it 15 days before until 7 days after, no need to do it on the exact date.

I think many of the problems you mention do not happen overnight. Greed, inequality, racism... perhaps always around?

Just more people reporting problems now than the good old days.

I would check with the airline. Perhaps I went with an airline that did not have a problem, so I tell you it is okay. But the airline you use may see a problem.

Maybe it would be easier for you not to come in on a visa exemp, but get a tourist visa in your home country. When you can arrange a visa before you come, it is more relaxing to be here.

I have no knowledge of your circumstances, but it seems to me that a tourist visa is the least amount of documentation and requirements.

Yes, that should be enough. Nobody ever asked for anything more when I stayed in a hotel.
