feel you.

It never ceases to amaze me the people that "love thailand" to the point they can't take an undeniable truth.

Its like a cult. You either praise EVERYTHING about Thailand or the answer is "then why would u wanna go there?"

About 60 people died today in traffic accidents. Mostly caused by lack of enforcement; lack of education; recklessness; etc.

But nope! I gotta say that is "wonderful" if I'm planning a trip to Thailand.

Here's a better idea:

How about loving Thailand in spite of all it's faults? Discussing its dark areas so that it gets noticed and (hopefully) improve?

most European countries are allowing people with long term visas; resident cards; legally married to EU citizens; etc... Even during restrictions; even from red countries. Only require testing prior to flying.

In terms of obtaining the visas; those type of visas were never routed through outside companies. Most countries u apply directly with the Embassy and they r still processing those.

Germany isn't issuing them because the company they outsource it to had to close. That doesn't mean that all countries in Europe are having that problem.

Regardless; also make sure that the country allows tourists at this time.

I know quite a few Thais with their tourist visas already on their passport unable to fly ever since Thai was taken off the EU green list.

If the country isn't allowing tourists atm no need to rush with the visa processing during this complicated time.

according to Spain's Embassy in Bangkok: TH is green (at least) till the 25th of July

BUT

The airline might require you to go through immigration in Amsterdam (my friend did... Not sure if he was forced to or chose to)

In that case u r looking at Netherlands law

The airline asked for it on check in at Suvarnabhumi.

If u don't have would they still let u board?... Not sure.

It's SUCH a risk for 1500 baht ... I would just do the antigen (gotta be less than 48hr old at time of landing)

He did NOT make an appointment for the test

Friend of mine did yesterday.

Even tho the whole required/not required Covid test is confusing (EU dropped TH but Spain still has it in the green list) it is prolly a smart and cautious thing to do... To get tested.

My friend did a quick antigen test at Ramkhamheng for 1500 baht the morning of the day he flew ... 20 min later he had the negative certificate in English.

U also need the QR from the Spain App.

Anyone else finds it disgraceful and ironic that the only place you can sit down for food/drinks is inside Government Complex?

Wonder if u paid the school just for watching the video or u had to pay a full driving course.

Especially for renewals where u need not take the theory... Nor the practical exam... Just the vision/reflexes and the 1hr video...

So i wonder if schools r offering a reasonably priced option for that

(The whole driving course from scratch is 4-5k depends on the school)

All this cuz the DMV said they won't allow for the ob-rom seminars. Thais can do it online... For there's no way for foreigners to register. So using the school as the middle man seems to be the only option.
