Unfortunately, solid rumours are all you got right now. Credible sources you only get after the it is finished.

But AirAsia is the leading budget airliner in Asia, if they stop it does mean something.

Thai Lion Air stopping operations until 1 May.

Maybe monday some borders will be open, but no airlines left to fly.

"Stuck" as in not being able to go home? I think they will not be impressed if you mean not being able to get new tourist visa.

It would be a good thing if immigration would be lenient, but don't count on it.

Open Thai bank account and use Transferwise. Apply for Non-O visa in Thailand, and no need to leave the country again.

"We are blocking infection from coming into the country." That statement would have been valid two months ago. Now the virus is already here and spreading fast. And not only by dirty Farang who do not shower.

One emoji represents all the advice government here needs: 🤫

But Roger is also showing the Bangkok Post. Perhaps they first wrote the story based on a government official, and later changed it because the official changed his story. Is it possible in Thailand, officials saying something now, and completely different 1 hour later?😄

I am not sure, but should he not also do a TM27 himself, change of address?

Perhaps easier to apply for a new passport before you go on holiday. I believe the UK, like my home country The Netherlands, uses VFS. They do a good job and it is probably not more expensive or difficult than doing it back home.

And perhaps check if you can get a passport with extra pages, I believe it is called bussiness passport.

Retirement and spouse visa each have their own requirements. Apart from that, you have a choice of Non-O and Non-OA.

I came in Thailand on a tourist visa and changed to Non-O spouse. For a Non-O spouce you need to show more paperwork than Non-O retirement. But for retirement you need to show Baht 800,000 in a Thai bank account, and for spouce only Baht 400,000.

I am not completely sure on requirements for Non OA, so I hope someone will give that info to you. I have an idea of requirements, but do not want to inform you incorrectly.
