Thanks for the advice. I'll go ahead with the new non O retirement visa application in Ireland. Immigration said before I left I can apply once I have 45 days left on visa . Application made from within Thailand appears to be a lot more work.

I called into my local Immigration office looking for information on what they required for non O retirement. Mentioned I already had a Bangkok bank account. They said I should consider opening a different bank account with another bank as Bangkok bank very hard to deal with.

I did car and bike. My IDP covered me for the car. Online 10 question test and 3 sitting test, colour, breaking and perception.

Didn't have IDP for motorcycle. Had to do full test. 50 questions in DLT office, actually driving test on course in DLT. Fairly straightforward. Do a bit of homework on rules of the road
