Looking at other post to get a extension on non o retirement visa you apply from home country. Fly to Thailand then after about two and a half months go to immigration and look for 1 year extension cost 1900 ฿.

I have bank account.

I have funds 800k฿.

I have accomodation sorted.

Yellow book and non Thai id.

I am semi retired. Irish.

But next year I will only be in Thailand month of February 2026 and July and August (60 days) and maybe a month in November 2026.

If I lodge 800k in to my account now.

Is there any way I can apply for non o and work it into that time frame. Or do I have to be in Thailand longer. Also can the visa or extension be multi entry.

I am trying to avoid using the visa exempt if I can as I travel more often.

All help appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of applying for a Non-O retirement visa extension given their limited time in Thailand in upcoming years. They have funds of 800,000 THB, accommodation arranged, and are semi-retired. According to comments, extensions can be applied for close to the expiry date of the current visa; options like a Non-OA visa for a 12-month multi-entry are suggested. It's also noted that a re-entry permit can be obtained once an extension is secured.

If your only doing two 30 day stays and one 60 day. You could just get the visa on entry for the 30 and a tourist visa (60 days) for the 60 day stay. You need the tourist visa before travelling. All can be extended at immigration. You can get the tourist visa on line as far as I know. If you stay with in your planned times, you wouldn't need to go near immigration

The minute your extension is inked in you buy a multiple re-entry permit. 3800 baht.

You might want to think about getting a Non-OA visa which gives you a straight 12 month multi entry visa. You get this from the consulate in your home country but it does require background check, insurance, etc

Depending on your immigration office, you can apply for an extension when you have 30 days or less left on your stay. At some immigration offices, you can apply when you have 45 days or less left. That means the only chance you would have to apply for a 1-year extension would be during the period you will bein Thailand for 60 days, and then only if your office is one of the ones that allows you to apply when you have 45 days left on your entry stamp.
